Introducing Gemma

Gemma Dean, from St Helens, began her hair loss journey with the condition Alopecia at the age of 19. Her personal struggles and lack of confidence fuelled the huge success what is now Halo Wigs.

Her salon specialises in helping those with hair loss and her clients include people having chemotherapy and women going through the menopause.

Why Halo Wigs?

At our shop in St Helen's, consultations are conducted within a private wig fitting room to ensure a discreet, compassionate and dedicated service. We can discuss your requirements and you can try on different styles and colours. We welcome customers bringing a friend or family member along to offer support and a second opinion.

We expect you’ll have many questions and concerns. Our appointments cover every aspect of wearing a wig, including how to put it on and how to wash and care for it etc. We will also answer any questions or concerns you may have. We’re here for you.

We appreciate how traumatic it can be, from personal experience - to lose some or all of your hair. Using our extensive experience and knowledge we will advise you of all of your wig or hairpiece options. You can then make the right choice for you.

What is the process with Gemma?

When booking with Gemma it's a breeze.

Firstly she will have a quick discussion over the phone to understand your needs and specific circumstances. Then she will organise a time and date that suits you best to come into the specially designed wig studio for an initial consultation. Don't worry, this is 100% reserved for your appointment and acts as a 'safe haven' for you and Gemma to discuss your individual needs with privacy.

Once Gemma has a better understanding she will then continue to provide numerous examples of human and synthetic hair for you to try on so you can decide your second stage 'try on' wigs a little easier.

At the second appointment Gemma would have created a custom wig collection for you to try on. From these you can choose a design you love and request additional styles to review. This will then enable her to create the perfect wig!

The final stage is cut, colour and styling of your bespoke wig. This then follows with an in depth discussion of wig aftercare and any additional questions answered that you may have

How do I book?

Simply call the salon and ask to speak with Gemma. If she is with a client feel free to message the Facebook or Instagram pages and she will respond usually within 24 hours.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course!

At The Secret Halo we understand you may want to bring along a loved one for moral support or simply to tell you 'you look amazing'

All we ask is that you inform Gemma of the attendees before arrival so she can ensure she has the room set up most efficiently so everyone is comfortable.

Can I get a price over the phone?

Due to the bespoke nature of the service, Gemma cannot provide prices over the phone. Each client must attend an initial consultation for more exact pricing to be offered.
